![]() !!Calling all English Teachers!! Last year, Rustic Ruminations collected donations through our STAMP OUT ILLITERACY program for Literacy KC. This year, we'd like to support a more hyper-local cause. If you are, or know of, a teacher or librarian who is looking to update their classroom library selection, we'd love to help! Provided with a list of books or associated supplies, we will offer a discount to any of our customers who donate something on your list, along with providing what we can through monetary donations that we raise. Contact me, Genesis Stone, directly at gstone@rusticruminations.com or by calling or texting 816-866-0730, if you are interested in applying as a recipient. Let's work together to Stamp Out Illiteracy and further the education of all those we are able!

![]() We're happy to announce that we are now delving into music literature! Thanks to Mr. Bob Dylan winning the Nobel Prize for literature, my husband's dream of incorporating music into our repertoire has now been fullfilled. This past weekend we attended the first of four monthly Second Saturdays - A Night Out in Kearney, where we unveiled three new music pieces! It was an amazing evening, although our live reading time was a little rough and our most passionate young patrons were a bit upset that the weather cancelled our last book reading for the evening. However, we will be reading The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein FIRST at our next show July 9th. As always, we loved talking with everyone about their love of literature and we appreciate everyone's support for our mission! To our young readers who love our story time, it is such an honor to read to each of you each time and we love that you keep track of EXACTLY when I'm to read again and let me know each and every time! Don't stop! We were SO busy having an amazing time at Oktoberfest in Kearney that these are the only two photos I captured all night! However, I just want to say, that inspiring another young artist and reader (who drew this AWESOME version of Alice for me) and to the young man who waited so patiently to ask me to sign a piece of my art (which has never happened before) THANK YOU!!! You both touched my heart in a way I don’t think you yet understand! I didn’t use your names here for safety, but we won’t forget them and can’t wait to see you again!
To all our eager readers who joined us for StoryTime and to the amazing people who supported our mission and business, thank you. To all: please remain the enthusiastic, life-long learners that you are! So…We’re officially official!!! We’ve reopened our doors here in Missouri as Rustic Ruminations LLC! As part of our Grand Opening we will be showcasing some of our new art and our new line of products at the Second Saturdays Night Out in Kearney event July 10th from 5-9 pm in Kearney, MO! Please come out, enjoy and stop by and see us!
As part of our long time mission, we will be donating a portion of our profits to a local literacy/education organization and all originals come with a copy of the book that inspired them! (Which you may choose to keep or donate!) Can't wait to see you all next Saturday! |
